Delay & Disruption Solutions

We undertake forensic delay analysis to determine ‘excusable’, ‘non-excusable’, ‘compensable’, and ‘non-compensable’ delays, including identification of any ‘mitigation’ and ‘acceleration measures’ implemented.

Forensic Delay Analysis And Disruption Analysis

To support claims for ongoing, completed and disputed engineering and construction projects, we undertake forensic delay analysis.

We are experienced in identifying and executing a suitable method for assessment of delays from a variety of delay analysis methods(both prospective and/or retrospective methods), including the most common Critical Path Method analysis methodologies, such as:

Impacted As Planned

Analysis (IAP)

The As Planned versus As Built Windows Analysis (APAB)

As-built

But-for Analysis

Time Impact

Analysis (TIA)

The Retrospective

Longest Path Analysis

Time Slice Windows

Analysis (TSWA)

The Collapsed As

Built Analysis

The process of execution of delay analysis by our experts typically involves, assessment of critical and near critical path activities identification of the origins and causes of delay, cause and effect, magnitude of critical and non-critical delays, apportionment/ allocation of critical delays according to each party’s actions or inactions, and then assessment of critical delays that are ‘excusable’, ‘non-excusable’, ‘compensable (non-concurrent)’, ‘non-compensable (concurrent)’ based on concurrency analysis.

We are experienced in estimating and assessing quantum of various time-related cost claims (commonly known as “Prolongation Claims”), including but not limited to the following:

  • On-Site Overhead Claim

  • Head-Office Overhead Claim

  • Loss of Profit Claim

  • Interest Claims

Our experts are also experienced in conducting Disruption Analysis and Productivity Loss analysis, including the most common methodologies, such as:

  • Baseline productivity analysis;

  • Earned value analysis (EVA);

  • Measured mile analysis.
